Our cooking class with Ludovica was one of the highlights of our trip to Salerno! If you're looking for a truly authentic Italian experience, this is the one to book. Ludovica welcomed us into her beautiful home overlooking the breathtaking Salerno Valley. We made everything from scratch, including bruschetta, homemade gnocchi, and the most delicious tiramisu. She even let us record the recipes so we could recreate them at home. Her property, with its fresh vegetable garden, cow, and donkey, made the experience feel even more authentic. We also had the pleasure of meeting her sweet two-year-old daughter and her husband, making us feel like part of the family. When we had trouble getting to the meeting point, Ludovica kindly picked us up from our hotel and drove us back afterward for a very reasonable fee. I was traveling with my sister, who has a disability, and Ludovica was incredibly patient, kind, and accommodating, which meant so much to us. She is warm, funny, outgoing, and truly passionate about sharing her love of Italian cooking. I originally booked because I had seen hundreds of five-star reviews. I noticed there are only a few showing now, and I'm not sure why, because this experience deserves every one of them. I can't recommend this experience highly enough. If you're thinking about booking with Ludovica, do it—you won't regret it!

My cooking is a tribute to tradition and conviviality, with homemade dishes meant to be shared with family and friends. I love preparing fresh pasta, gnocchi, ravioli, and sauces made with vegetables or fish. Among my main courses, the potato frittata — in many variations — stands out, along with seasonal meats, fish, and vegetables. As for side dishes, there's always a place for eggplant, zucchini alla scapece, friselle, and friarielli. My signature dish? Barese focaccia with potatoes, a cherished family recipe. Even though desserts aren't my first love, mine are always well received: tiramisu, caprese cake, delizia al limone, pastiera, struffoli, and many other homemade treats. My greatest reward? Seeing a smile after the very first bite.
