We are Maria and Giorgio, and we live near the Basilica of San Giovanni (about a 15-minute walk from the Colosseum). We are thrilled to welcome you into our home to share our passion for cooking rich in authentic flavors and to let you savor delicious dishes prepared following our grandmother's recipes. You'll have the chance to enjoy making fresh pasta with us, rolling it out by hand with a rolling pin to create traditional pasta like fettuccine, to be seasoned with white or red sauces depending on the season, and maltagliati, sagnette, perfect for special soups. Together, we will also prepare a delicious dessert, and at the end, you can relax and enjoy the fruits of your labor.

We were guests of Mrs. Maria for a cooking lesson that turned into a wonderful convivial gathering. Welcomed by her and her son, we tried our hand at making fresh pasta, immersed in stories of Abruzzo traditions. But the real surprise was dinner. Once at the table, joined also by Mrs. Maria’s husband, an unforgettable feast began: a succession of appetizers chosen from local delicacies and their own homemade products, amidst chatter and laughter. What a satisfaction to eat the pasta made with our own hands, seasoned with an excellent tomato sauce! We ended on a high note with a delicious dessert prepared by Maria. But beyond the excellent quality of the ingredients, what struck us most was the atmosphere: thanks to the warmth of Maria and her family, we truly felt at home. A rare welcome that makes this experience unique!

My family and I had a wonderful experience with the cooking class with Mrs. Maria! It was truly an authentic experience as we had dinner with her family. This was our first cooking class and we learned how to make pasta from scratch and Tiramisu. It taste fantastic and I’m looking forward to making on my own with the recipes given. I love preparing first courses with homemade pasta, such as maccheroni alla chitarra, ravioli, and lasagna, along with risottos and dried pasta dishes featuring mushrooms and various vegetables. I have happily experimented with many dishes from Abruzzese cuisine, including ndurciullune, pallotte cacio e ova, and stuffed rabbit. Additionally, whenever I have the chance, I enjoy being inspired by the typical cuisines of Tuscany and Lazio.
