    Every day can be a special day, but some are by rule! Valentine's Day, one's birthday, holy days: Carnival, a holiday so important in Rome's history, Easter, Christmas.

    And of course in Rome as in the whole world, each holiday has its own special and dedicated dishes. This experience proposes to have fun celebrating in an unusual way, learning how to replicate a special traditional dish while privately experiencing a romantic moment!

    For each period: the cooking class of a recipe, three-course menu and an appetizer.. And a few little surprises that can't be missed on a festive day!

    Our experience with Ofelia and Leonardo was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived in their home, they made us feel incredibly welcome with their warmth and generosity. Learning how to make authentic carbonara and fresh pasta from scratch was such a special experience, and their passion for Italian cooking made the class both fun and memorable. After cooking together, we shared a wonderful meal and genuinely enjoyed getting to know them both. If you’re visiting Rome, I cannot recommend this experience enough — it was easily the highlight of our trip and one of the most memorable experiences we had in Italy.

    I had a really great cooking class together with Ofelia. We made maritozzi both sweet and savory. Very delicious. It was a great evening and experience with Ofelia and her husband Leonardo. I will visit again for another cooking class next time I visit Rome!

She had the table set for us to dine on what we had prepared and it was more than enough for a meal.     Where to start… the food was incredible and on its own would make this the best foodie experience in Rome, but the hospitality, conversation and friendship of Ofelia and Leonardo made this a memory of a lifetime. I have done numerous cooking classes around the world, but nothing comes close, the atmosphere in their stunning apartment is more like a dinner party with close friends. We left with full stomachs and full hearts. Thank you. Till the next time!

    Mine is a cuisine that starts above all from traditional family recipes. I was born in Calabria, but mine is a family branched out in cultural and consequently also culinary history. A great-grandmother of a Jewish family married to a great-grandfather an aviator American, another who abandoned dancing with the consuls for a marriage with an intellectual of peasant origins, all united with the Calabrian mountain tradition.From the branch of Jewish origins I took the great love for sweet and sour, for fermented recipes and spicy scents, from the noble branch some recipes that I discovered to be relatives of sometimes Sicilian and sometimes Neapolitan cuisine (from the Kingdom of the two Sicilies:), some that I have never happened to find in other houses. I moved to Rome almost twenty years ago to study and I stayed there, here I also assimilated some recipe books from my partner who is a Roman from Trastevere, making my own super recipes rlatives of the Roman tradition, such as the first classics or the Maritozzi, which I often personalize with fillings that bring me and my guests back to Calabria!
