Your experience

This 3-hour cooking class is the perfect way to discover the authentic flavors of Italy and Sorrento cuisine. Together, we’ll prepare traditional dishes from the Amalfi Coast, such as escarole pizza Sorrento-style and the classic Neapolitan pasta with potatoes and provola cheese. To finish on a sweet note, we’ll make a shortcrust tart with white and dark cream — a unique and delicious dessert. After cooking, we’ll sit down and enjoy our creations together. A genuine experience filled with Mediterranean flavors, local aromas, and a deep love for cooking. I can’t wait to welcome you!

We had an amazing experience with Alessandra. From start to finish it was one of the best experiences have done. She brought us to her home and we had an intimate cooking demonstration tailored to our preferences. She kept us entertained and with drinks topped up! I would come again and highly recommend!

I recently attended a cooking class hosted by Cesarina Alessandra, and it was a delightful experience! Our small group of four was warmly welcomed as Alessandra picked us up and took us to the local market. We explored a fish market, a charming cheese shop, sampling fresh mozzarella and other fine cheeses, before heading to a lovely bread store. The journey to Alessandra’s beautiful home, nestled in the hills of Sorrento, was breathtaking. Once there, the cooking began, and we were treated to a warm family atmosphere. I had the pleasure of meeting her dogs, cat, son, and husband, making the experience feel even more personal. We learned how to make our own pasta dough for ravioli, and Alessandra explained the importance of minimal air exposure and timing, which we found to be a game-changer compared to our attempts at home. She guided us through the process of using the pasta machine to achieve the perfect thinness. In addition to the ravioli, we also prepared eggplant parm and tiramisu, all under Alessandra's expert guidance. The views from her home were absolutely stunning, adding to the magic of the day. It was an amazing and delicious adventure, and I highly recommend this tour to everyone looking to dive into authentic Italian cooking! Cesarina from 2021Location: Sorrento    Languages: Italian, English, French
Sorrento, land of sirens that tempted Ulysses and home of Torquato Tasso, offers moments of poetry between secret coves, breathtaking views and tasty stops, as at home of our Cesarina Alessandra. "I love traditional cuisine and I am passionate about leavened, especially the Neapolitan pizza made with my sourdough, with which I make fragrant breads, of any kind of flour". At her table flavors of sea and land, recipes of the culinary tradition of Sorrento, fragrant and tasty.
