My sister, brother-in-law had a cooking class with Monica during our visit to Italy. It was a definite highlight of our 10 days in Italy. Monica and Paolo were warm and welcoming, treating us like family. My 95-year-old mother was with us and enjoyed the fruits of our labor. We learned so much and had a fabulous time! Highly recommend this wonderful experience!

This was a unique experience which we can only recommend to everyone! Monica and Paolo are gracious hosts with whom we had a great evening. We learned a lot from Monica and the food was delicious. Monica caters to individual requests and went to great lengths. We had a super nice time!

Monica was such a good instructor. She explained every step of tge process of preparing and cooking. It was a delightful class and visit with Monica in her beautiful garden kitchen. I highly recommend her and wish I had more time to take other classes.

I booked a pasta class while recently in Lucca. When I arrived at Monica's home, I wS greeted by her and her husband Paolo. They escorted me to their outdoor kitchen in their backyard, which was underneath a pergola surrounded by fig trees, flowers, fresh herbs and an apple tree. The setting was beautiful. I was asked immediately if I could stay an extra hour, then what had been scheduled. Of course I said Si! She described what we would be preparing, and we started prepping the pasta dough. Once finished, we let it rest to start making the sauce. Fresh tomatoes, basil, onions, carrots, celery, garlic and EVOO! Bellisima! We chatted as it simmered, and drank the best local Prosecco I have ever tasted! Now it was time to make the taggliatelle. I have to say I had a smile on my face the entire day. Monica was so thorough and might I add patient, sine this was my first pasta making experience. Her husband snapped photos and videos for me as well. It was truly one of my highlights of Lucca! When it came time to enjoy the meal, I sat with her and Paulo and their daughter Elinore. The food and company were fantastic! If anyone is looking for an authentic experience, please consider booking with Monica. You will not be disappointed!! Brava, Monica, Brava!!🇮🇹

My husband and I booked this experience as we wanted to learn the traditional ways of cooking Italian and the importance to the people. Monica and her family did not disappoint! We were at her family home and prepared and cooked everything right in her backyard. We felt like part of the family from the beginning! Monica knew broken English but this did not lessen the experience. It was actually rather easy to communicate and understand her ways. We both absolutely loved spending time with Monica and her family and learning how to cook a number of pasta dishes, accompanying sauces and of course the iconic (most delicious) tiramisu! We throughly enjoyed our experience and will definitely be doing it again when we return! Thank you 🙏🏻

The main reason I travelled from Australia to Italy was to see there cultural and eat their food. This ticked both my boxes! I have been traveling for 2 weeks and this was the best experience I have had. Monica is very passionate, like me as I love cooking so it’s nice to see someone who loves food and showing the love for cooking to other people like I do. We felt part of the family when we all sat down for dinner and I loved all of it from the food to learning about their culture. 12/10 would definitely go back and do it again when we are back in Lucca.

If you're looking for an authentic Italian immersion cooking experience, you must visitMonica and Paolo in their home kitchen. Monica with her warmth and passion for cooking, will guide you through all the courses of a traditional Italian meal. She will only use the freshest, locally sourced, produce, meat, cheeses, olive oil, and wine of Lucca. One of our most memorable experiences when visiting Lucca Italy!!
