Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Discover the authentic flavors of Emilia with homemade tigelle and tagliatelle! We will knead traditional tigelle and prepare Modenese pesto. Then we will taste the tigelle with local cured meats, cheeses, sauces and jams. We will make fresh pasta together: we will roll out the dough with a rolling pin and cut tagliatelle with a knife, according to tradition. After cooking, we will enjoy the prepared dishes accompanied by excellent wines such as Lambrusco or Prosecco. We will end with a tiramisu made by us and a good coffee. I am waiting for you in my house in the hills of Bologna, surrounded by nature, for a typical, genuine and even vegetarian dining experience upon request!

I began planning the trip last July. Your class was the first adventure we have planned. It was truly a WONDERFUL experience in so many ways. Your teaching was very clear and patient. - Our cooking class with Roberta was so much fun. We had a great three hours cooking two types of pasta, sauce and tiramisu. Roberta was patient, great at giving us lots of helpful tips and was so hospitable. She took the time to get to know us and offered us some choices on the day based on the things we like. We would highly recommend a class with Roberta if you’re visiting Bologna. Do not hesitate to book with her.

From the typical lasagna and tagliatelle to the classic Tuscan pappa al pomodoro, my kitchen represents a fusion of these regional influences. The journey through traditional flavors continues with favorites like tiramisu and the iconic Prato biscuits, perfect for dipping into Vin Santo.
