Everything in my house in the center of Bologna, overlooking the Teatro Comunale, has a story: the furniture, the dinnerware, the glasses, the cutlery, the tablecloths and, of course, the recipes that hold family secrets.
In this typical Bolognese dinner, which I will prepare for you and which I can also decline for vegetarian palates upon request, you will savor my family recipes accompanied by the sound of the cello, played by Filippo.

- This was a wonderful experience! Hands-on in the comfort of Margherita's home. Margherita was a charming and knowledgable teacher. We learned to make two kinds of delicious pasta as well as tiramisu. What a fun day! We came home and practiced what we had learned and impressed all of our friends. Highly recommend!
- We thoroughly enjoyed both our meal and visit with Cesarine Margherita! We traveled to Italy to visit our college-aged daughter completing her semester studying abroad in nearby Florence. Bologna is a scenic town convenietly located nearby (40-minute train commute), and our Cesarine's lovely home was conveniently located in the heart of Bologna. We enjoyed an excellent four-course meal with tradional Bolognaise recipes (including the famous, delcious sauce!), and as we prepared and enjoyed our meal together with Margherita, we appreciated learning some fantastic cooking tips for Italian cuisine while learning more about Bologna and Italian traditions. I would highly recommend this experiecne to anyone, especially families, as our family will always cherish this very special and memorable Thanksgiving meal we celebated together with lovely Cesarine Margherita. Thank you & grazie!
- We had the best time with Margherita. She was a very generous host. She made the evening fun and interesting while we learned to make 2 different types of traditional pasta along with tiramisu. This was such a great way to gain insight into local culture and traditions. Definitely the highlight of our time in Bologna!

We enjoyed talking to her & learning all about her culture & customs & learning all things Italian. She also gave us some good restaurant recommendations & things to do. We loved our experience & would do it again.
- My daughter and I had a fabulous experience with Margherita in her home in Bolgna. We learnt how to make Fritata, Tortellino and Tiramisu. It was delicious and Margherita was a wonderful host. My daughter who is 10 absolutely loved the experience as did I. We would highly reccommend this to anyone who wants to experience the real way of life in a local's kitchen in Bologna.

Everything in his house, overlooking the Municipal Theater, has a story: the furniture, the service of plates, glasses, cutlery, tablecloths and, of course, the recipes that keep the family secrets. Secrets that guests can 'savor' while enjoying the dishes prepared by Margherita, from mother Paola's chicken to grandma Marisa's pinza with mustard, defined by our Cesarina as "dishes that warm the heart" and which can be adapted to any request, from vegetarian to gluten free, always respecting the culinary tradition.
