"Sono stata sin da bambina appassionata alla cucina e al cibo, complici la nonna che amava cucinare e tutta la famiglia che ama mangiare bene. Ho deciso quindi di intraprendere una carriera universitaria nell’ambito della gastronomia. Ho affrontato un percorso multidisciplinare ed olistico che ha trattato a 360° il mondo del cibo. Amo cucinare per la mia famiglia e per gli altri, partendo dalla scelta delle ricette e dalla selezione degli ingredienti. Mi piace sperimentare e sono particolarmente appassionata alla pasticceria e ai lievitati. Faccio ricerche su antichi ricettari e chiedendo in giro, soprattutto alle signore anziane, le loro ricette di famiglia. La Sicilia, come tutta l’Italia, possiede un’eredità gastronomica inestimabile, le cui ricette e preparazioni variano di casa in casa, non solo tra città e province. Questo dà la possibilità al palato di gustare gli stessi piatti della tradizione con diversi ingredienti, tecniche e storie."

Alice & Francesco were amazing hosts! Our group absolutely loved visiting their beautiful home, cooking traditional Sicilian pasta & tiramisu, & trying different local foods. What made our evening with A&F so special, was their incredible generosity! We were also blown away by their friendliness & the amount of information they were able to share with us, not only about the local produce & traditional recipes but also about Palermo’s politics & history. We could not recommend A&F enough- they were fantastic teachers & wonderful hosts! Thank you!!

Alice and Francesco were amazing hosts. This was our first time in Italy and they were by far the most memorable part of our trip, also the best food we ate on the trip. We would highly recommend booking a class with her while you are staying in Palermo.

We had a really pleasant Morning & Afternoon with Alice & Francesco, learning all about some of the cultural history of Italian cooking and even more enjoyable eating freshly made food prepared by our very hands 😍 I recommend the class to all visiting, but make sure you do so early on during your trip so you can ask for wonderful recommendations for the rest of your trip!

Alice provided a magical evening. Every dish was delicious. Alice was extremely well organized and ensured a very hands-on experience. After cooking the dishes we prepared, we enjoyed an engaging dinner with Alice and Francesco full of interesting and informative discussions. It was a memorable experience that I would highly recommend. All the recipes were clear and well written. We felt very comfortable asking questions.

My 12-year-old daughter and I loved our cooking class with Alice and Francesco! Not only was our meal fun to make, it was absolutely delicious. Alice took her time to provide thorough instructions and was a joy to be around. We made two kinds of pasta and tiramisu and Alice provided appetizers including focaccia bread with three types of delicious homemade jams. I highly recommend her cooking class for families as she is kind, informative, patient and a wonderful cesarine (ask her for the meaning)!
